Description: Drazy Hoops is a Singer/Songwriter/Multi-Instrumentalist who was born in Chicago, but is now based in New York. Former leader of the Boston based band Atomic Cafe, Drazy released his first solo record “Straight To Black” (on Shimmydisc/Knitting Factory Records) in 1998. Since then Drazy has completed 7 records. His songs appear in such feature films as “The Book of Life” by Hal Hartley, and “Next Stop Wonderland” by Brad Anderson. A compilation of songs from Drazy’s first 3 records called “A World Away” (First Flight Records) was released in Australia and New Zealand in July of 2003.
More like little films that ebb and flow from song to song, Drazy still makes full-length conceptual records. Featuring members of Luna, Hem, Chris Whitley’s band as well as other great musicians, “Into The Red” is conceived to be “Part 1″ of a 3 record set.
